Introduction to Staples China

In 2004, Staples entered the China market through a joint venture with OA365, an office products delivery business based in Shanghai and founded Staples Commerce & Trade Co., Ltd. Staples China located its head office in Shanghai with its businesses covering the whole China.

In China, Staples carries on and enriches the easy brand promise: ‘We make buying office products easy.’ and remains committed to providing an easy and pleasant shopping experience to customers.

After 3 years’ effort, Staples has established operation centers in Beijing, Jiangsu and Shenzhen as a symbol of dominance of the domestic office products market.

2007 has been a very productive year for Staples China. This year, it became the official office furniture exclusive supplier of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games; its Contracted Corporate Account Department was newly established to serve large local and multinational corporations; it launched a co-branded corporate card with ICBC and American Express; its partnership with UPS led to the establishment of Staples & UPS Express stores in Beijing; it opened the first office furniture supercenter in Shanghai and its Shenzhen Branch was newly formed.
